But they\u2019re still pretty uncommon out here. Maybe 6-8 pairs have bred on Coll this year  &#8211; the same number as Hen Harriers!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>29\/06\/2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bog<\/strong> <strong>Orchid<\/strong> (12 of these tiny rarities in three small clusters in a Bottle Sedge bog. A first for us on Coll &#8211; or anywhere else for that matter!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heath Fragrant Orchid (having a good year on Coll &#8211; plenty about)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pipewort<\/strong> (lots of small flowering plants on muddy banks of loch &#8211; another Coll speciality)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lesser Marshwort<\/strong> (growing abundantly among the Pipewort)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>25\/06\/2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Red-throated Diver <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hen Harrier (male and female hunting)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hobby<\/strong> (a stunning male hunting from its perch on a power line pole. A very rare Hebridean visitor.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black-headed Gull (x2 but no juvs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Great Skua<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arctic Skua (x5 breeding behaviour evident.
