  • Bonxie (in short supply this year as a result of Bird Flu)

  • Hen Harrier (both males and females regularly being observed now – evidence of nestlings)
  • Great Skua (just a single bird over the cottage – still in very short supply this year)
  • Woodpigeons (a pair – be still my trembling heart!)
  • Spotted Flycatcher (a single bird has been in the same area on and off for several weeks now)
  • Silver Ground Carpet (a delightful moth)

  • Northern Marsh Orchid (x4 on our drive!)
  • Early Purple Orchid (x120 – a fantastic array at a new location on Ben Hogh)
  • (Whinchat reported from Arinagour)
